MAUDIE NORMAN MISSION MINISTRY
The Mission shall stimulate a missionary spirit in the men, women and young people of this church by prayer, study of the missionary message of the Bible and engaging in community mission activities. The Mission shall provide all Christians an opportunity to obey Christ’s commission. Christ’s last command to His disciples while He was still on earth was: “Go ye in to the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” The Missionary must show his or her love through obedience. The purpose is to develop Christian character, to aid in carrying out the Great Commission, to impress upon our minds and hearts the fact that the spirit of mission is the real Spirit of Christ and to provide an opportunity for Christian fellowship. We are to always express our gratitude to God for His favor. We are to seek opportunities to help and service others with kindness, love and gentleness. The true spirit of a missionary seeks to highlight others rather than self.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Meeting Time: Third Saturday each month at 12:00 PM, Room 220, Administration Building
- The Mission Ministry maintains a food and clothing telephone line seven days a week, 24 hours @ (770) 482-7660, ext. 112.
- The Food pantry is opened each Friday from 10:00am to 12:00noon in the Administration Building, with a mission member present to distribute Pre-packed boxes of non-perishable food. We have clothing and shoes, these items are available on a first come basis.
- Donation of food and/or clothing and shoes will be accepted 10:00am to 12:00noon and are always welcomed.
- The Mission Ministry visits nursing homes, hospitals and personal residences, make telephone calls and send cards to members who are listed on the ‘healing and convalescing’ list.
- Feed Our Friends….Jesus showed His Love for us by giving up His life for us. Therefore, the Maudie Norman Mission Ministry wanted to show love bestowed upon us. One of our main projects, since 2004 is Feeding Our Friends. Every last Sunday of the month is FOF and an event that consist of a group of homeless men and women. We go downtown and pick up our friends, bring them to the 10:45am service and afterwards we all partake in bread of a nourishing meal together in love. We have other auxiliaries and ministries within FBC to volunteer and sponsor a month to show how much we love our brethren. So come by the Maudie Norman Mission Ministry….your talents and skills just might be what our ‘friends’ need to heal and bring back life into them! Let’s live for JESUS!

The Singles Ministry provides a Christian based support system for single members that is beneficial in their everyday lives.
SENIORS MINISTRY
The Seniors Ministry provides an opportunity for seniors to meet weekdays to share in social, health, church and recreational activities. The members meet two days a week; Mondays and Fridays, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
